WHAT IT'S BUILT ON

Confidence is a pattern the brain learns. So it can learn a new one.

The workbook explains the neuroscience in everyday language, then turns it into exercises. Clients understand why their brain is doing what it's doing, which makes the work easier to stick with.

01

Self-efficacy

02

The brain's filter

The reticular activating system highlights evidence that matches what we already believe. Readers learn to spot the wins their brain has been filtering out and start a new evidence file on purpose.

03

Neuroplasticity

Using a simple path-in-the-woods analogy, the book shows how repetition makes a new belief the brain's easier route. That's why the daily work, trackers, and 30-day challenge are part of the system.

04

Connection

Readers reported a real feeling of engagement and conversation due to the intentional style of the book. Exercises and informative text maintain an engaging and "friend-like" feel.

Drawing on Albert Bandura's research, the book frames confidence as trust built through four inputs: mastery experiences, watching others succeed, encouragement, and how the body feels when we act. The exercises target all four.

Myths your brain is still running

TRUTH

Myth

TRUTH

They feel afraid and do it anyway. The fear doesn't disqualify you.

Confident people don't feel afraid.

They feel afraid and do it anyway. The fear doesn't disqualify you.

Myth

I'll feel confident once I reach my goals.

TRUTH

Nooope. That's backwards. You build confidence by acting first, before the guarantee.

Myth

If I fail, it just proves I'm not confident.

TRUTH

Failure is evidence collection. Every miss teaches your brain something real.

Myth

Some people are just naturally confident.

TRUTH

Some people got better early evidence. That's it. You can build your own.

FOR PRACTITIONERS

Built for the work between sessions

Homework that gets done

Each worksheet is short, specific, and explains its purpose, so clients know why they're doing it.

Pick what fits

Assign one exercise or a full section. The Excavation works well early on, and the Daily Work supports maintenance.

Group friendly

Prompts like the Comparison Trap and the Fear Translator open up good discussion in groups.

Print and reuse

It's a PDF, so you can print the pages each client needs.

A quick heads up

This workbook is written for adults 18+ in a candid, conversational voice, and yes, there's some swearing. Clients tend to love it because it reads like a friend telling them how it is - plus a swear used at the right time just helps sometimes (and it keeps people attention).

WHAT PRACTITIONERS ARE SAYING

Reviews of Your Mind Is Full Of Shift resources from verified buyers.

Finally! A product for my patients that actually delivers. No BS, no clinical mumble-jumble they aren't interested in, just real strategies they (and I) can implement the same day. Of course there are swears; it's an adult book, but my 18+ veterans and first responders love it.

Rita T., PSYD

I love how it's laid out to appear casual but you can see the underlying tools like CBT, DBT, and pattern reframing. It's a great set of tools. Highly recommend.

Petu A., LPC

My patients can learn why their mind is doing what it's doing and have real-world tools they can immediately use to regain their sense of control.

Deb N., LCPC

Clients consistently report that the exercises feel relatable and accessible, and many have continued using them independently between sessions, resulting in progress and sustained engagement with their treatment goals.

Olivia H., PSYD

They're accessible, psychologically sound, and help clients externalize and reframe core beliefs. Several clients have even requested to keep using the prompts and rituals long after we introduced them, which says a lot.

Bonnie M., LCSW, RN

I received 2 of the workbooks for my clients when I agreed to try them out for free for my practice. I was so excited when I saw the progress that I came back and got 8 more.

Jeff D., LMFT

ABOUT THE CREATOR

Hi, I'm Cari.

For years I've worked with people as a clinical hypnotherapist and neuropsychology coach, building tools that help people understand how their thought patterns formed and how to change the ones keeping them stuck. Those tools worked so well for my clients, and for the past 10 years, my students have enjoyed them so much, that I've shifted my focus to sharing them with a wider audience.

Your Mind Is Full Of Shift now offers workbooks and tools for adults, practitioners, veterans and their families, caregivers, kids, and teens. This Self-Confidence tool is one of my most requested, and I'd love to hear what you think of it.

AFTER YOU'VE LOOKED IT OVER

I'd really value your feedback

A few lines is plenty. Here's what's most helpful to know (but please share whatever you're thinking!) -

  1. Which exercise(s)would you use most with your clients?

  2. Is anything missing, or is there anything you'd change?

  3. Would you find this useful this with your group work?
