About Cari
I teach people how their mind really works by teaching them tools their mind actually wants to use (not ones you have to force or will it into). My focus is on the patterns that shape perception, the habits that run beneath awareness, and the automatic reactions that show up during stress, exhaustion, or emotional overload. Everything I create is built to help you understand your internal wiring so you can learn how to rewrite it.
My background spans more than fifteen years in neuroscience-based tools, mind-pattern work, coaching, and life optimization. I have taught these tools for almost a decade and have spent more than twenty years teaching people the tools they needed to navigate demanding roles and life challenges with clear thinking, emotional steadiness, and response (vs reaction). I understand how patterns hold people in place for years, and I understand how quickly things shift when the right tool meets the right moment. I turned that understanding into a foundation of tools that the mind wants to use, so the outcome is success and not "try again."
I design resources for people who want real change and who feel ready to take ownership of their internal
world. Many of the tools in my work were shaped through years of trying to relieve my own patterns and
misery. That grew into working with groups who carry constant pressure and need strategies that really
work in the middle of real life. My approach is direct, science-grounded, and results-focused. It gives
you practical ways to interrupt old mental patterns and create a steadier internal footing.
My goal is to give you tools that create movement. I want you to understand your mind in a clear and
usable way so you can build a life that reflects your values, your vision, and your personal definition
of strength and possibility.
For those interested in the concepts I base a lot of my work on, they are all rooted in science,
psychology and neuroscience studies, concepts, and theory that draw from a tapestry of
thinkers and clinicians:
-
Jung's archetypes, personas, and individuation models.
-
Watts’ “watercourse way” and explorations of ego.
-
Zeig’s development of NLP as a therapeutic approach.
-
Erickson’s linguistic genius and the roots of modern hypnotherapy.
-
Epictetus’ Stoic dichotomy of control.
-
Heidegger’s phenomenological lens on existence and meaning.
-
Ruiz’s timeless Four Agreements (get the book if you don’t have it!).
-
Beck and Ellis’ cognitive-behavioral foundations.
-
Schwartz’s Internal Family Systems model (aka Parts work).

Personal Interests
My family, our country, our military, and first responders. That is what I do what I do for.
As such, my focus and subsequent knowledge is on communication dynamics, behavior, linguistics, as well as trauma response and patterning specifically related to military and first responder careers.
That's a fancy way of saying I learned stuff that helped me build tools that work for just about everyone, but I have a special dedication to our military and first responders. If you're either, or a family member of one and would like access to the Big Guns ShiftStore - let me know as it's hidden from the public with pricing and products especially for you.
When I'm not making content or teaching, I love road trips with the family either around NC or anywhere we can find mountains and rivers. We love getting on the Harley or the Jeep and spending lazy Sundays taking in the views in between the curves and twists of our local roads. I also love cold fall days at home making homemade stews, soups, and breads and playing with our German Shepherd.
Of all the things I love and all the things that have made me who I am and who I'll grow to be, our kids always have been and always will be the center of it all. Our oldest son followed in his Dad's footsteps and became a United States Marine, and our youngest is going to be our family's first Sheriff's Deputy. As much as my heart misses hearing "Momma" and wish I'd gotten advanced notice that the last time I held them would be the last time I held them...I'm so damn proud of the men they've grown into and the selfless life of service they've decided to commit themselves to.
